Far to the north of Dereth are mountains that rival if not surpass the Linvak in splendor and danger. In this place, far from the southern regions that most Sho can be found, a boy by the name of Tenjo found himself. Dereth can be dangerous even to the most weathered warriors of Ispar, but to a boy of only ten years it seemed as though the gods had played a cruel joke upon him.

Years passed and time had not been kind to the once light-hearted boy, he had degraded back to a barbaric and savage way of living. Attacking a killing beast and person alike with savagery that was on par with that of a dreaded Esper Ursin. The day had not started any different for the boy but he felt something was different. Later that day as he finished of the last of an encampment of Banderlings he saw something coming over the rise. As the boy moved in for a closer look he saw that it was another traveler. It seemed to be no different then any other he thought but something was something gnawed at him from the back of his mind. Even though he was not sure what to make of this strange man he decided to attack and take the possessions of this traveler, for even he knew that travelers almost always carried items of a far better quality then he could find off the corpses of the beasts of the area. The plan was set, his target clear, he would jump the traveler form the far side a near by boulder. As the traveler passed by the boulder the boy attacked, however do his dismay the traveler had anticipated he attack and easily sidestepped him. As the boy looked up at his would be victim all he saw was the gleaming blade of a Tachi at his throat. “But how?” the boy asked in a mix of both fear and amazement at the deadly skill of this stranger. Never had he seen such skill from a traveler before. “Fallow boy, and you may find out,” said the traveler as he continued to walk on his journey.

The days passed and the boy fallowed the traveler to a town on a great Plateau. There at the local inn the two talked. “Who are you?” asked the boy. “I am known as Ben Ten,” said the stranger in response. “How is it that you were able to evade my attack? No one has ever done that to me” again the boy asked. “I fell a strong power within you boy, fallow me and I will teach you” Ben Ten said.
Five years passed and the boy had learned much from Ben Ten. Although Ben Ten was a master swordsman, it had not rubbed off on the now 18-year-old youth. Ben Ten had long recognized the boy’s unnatural abilities of unarmed combat and had nurtured the boy’s talent. He was now as adept with his fist as Ben Ten was with a blade.

As the youth woke one morning, instead of finding his master and friend all that was left was a note that read as fallowed,

“Tenjo my boy, when I first met you I was reminded of a story that I was told as a child in the Dragon Temple on Ispar. I was told that long ago The Dragon of Power came down from the heavens and had taken the form a man; it was from this man that the basis of all Sho combat was derived. It was also said that in a time of great turmoil the Dragon would return to protect the Sho. I believe that you are that man, you have dragons blood boy I am sure of it. We will meet again only when you have unleashed to power within you. Go forth boy for your adventure has just begun.”

Tenjo placed the note back on the table and stepped out to a world that seemed to unfold before him. He would make his mark on this world and he would be reunited with his master.
